352 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 1.474 people hospitalized

There have been 352 new recorded COVID-19 cases in Croatia in the last 24 hours, so 2.996 cases of COVID-19 remain active. 1.474 people are still hospitalized, with 138 patients on ventilator. In the last 24 hours, 560 people recovered, while 4.342 were tested.

Since February 25th total of 228.920 people infected with coronavirus was recorded in Croatia, 352 in the last 24 hours.

221.097 people recovered, 560 in the past 24 hours. So far 4.827 people passed away.

So far 1.154.033 people have been tested.

From 13th of July, face masks or medical masks are required for: 

• employees of health care institutions and persons visiting patients, if visits are allowed
• drivers, other employees in public transport vehicles and public transport passengers
• trade employees and customers during their stay in stores
• employees in hospitality business who are in contact with guests or participate in serving and preparing meals and beverages 
• other persons bound to do so by special instructions and recommendations of the Croatian Institute of public Health

In accordance with the current epidemiological situation, from Friday the 10th of July, all organizers of gatherings attended by more than a hundred participants must fulfill specific measures. Organizers who expect more than a hundred participants at the gathering are obliged to submit a notification to the 112 County Center no later than 48 hours before the planned start. Organizers who have registered a gathering in accordance with the Public Gathering Act are not required to submit this notice. Also, all organizers of gatherings with more than a hundred participants are required to keep written records of participants, so that in case it is established that one of the participants was infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus, it could more effectively prevent the spread of the disease. Control over the implementation, as well as compliance with the recommendations and instructions of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, will be carried out by teams composed of civil protection inspectors and police officers.
